Similarly, the bird imagery associated with Nora takes on a different tone by the end of the play as she essentially abandons the nest. Examine the use of bird imagery throughout the play and see if you can plot a course of how it changes over the course of the play.

Much of the difficult information that is communicated in the play is communicated through letters rather than speech. Is this important? Why? What it is about letters that makes it a better medium for this type of information than speech? Why is that important for this play in particular?
